I would love a little time to dry out around here in south Louisiana. Last year we were flooded from the end of August until after Christmas. I sincerely hope this year doesn't go the same way.
Worst fire season in Texas history ended recently, and this upcoming one doesn't show much hope of improvement.
A county in my area lifted its burn ban after 8 months. The next day local fire departments were called out 7 times. The county judge was on the radio asking people to use common sense. That's the problem- a lot of folks don't have any!
